ACP launches new pain management learning hub

The series consists of seven core evidence-based and patient-centered modules and two sets of case studies. Up to 23 hours of CME/MOC credit are available, free to ACP members.

ACP's new Pain Management Learning Hub features educational resources to help health care professionals better assess and manage patients' pain.

The new peer-to-peer learning materials, designed to advance clinicians' skills, consist of seven core evidence-based and patient-centered modules and two sets of case studies that provide opportunities to practice pain assessment, diagnostic differentials, multimodality treatment plans, and patient-centered communication. Up to 23 hours of CME/MOC credit are available.

Although the modules progress in a linear fashion, each is designed to stand alone and can be viewed independently. Topics include:

  • Pain Fundamentals
  • Pain Assessment
  • Pain Management Principles
  • Nonpharmacologic Therapies
  • Nonopioid Pharmacotherapy
  • Opioid Therapy
  • Opioid Use Disorder
  • Knee Pain
  • Low Back Pain

The series is free to ACP members. Nonmembers may purchase access to claim CME/MOC credit at a price of $25 for each module or $199 for the full package of seven learning modules and two sets of case studies.

An ongoing series of recorded video presentations provides additional information related to various aspects of pain management for specific pain conditions. It is free to members and $25 for nonmembers.
