Weighted estimates from the 2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health suggested that 91.8 million (37.8%) adults used prescription opioids, 11.5 million (4.7%) misused them, and 1.9 million (0.8%) had a use disorder.

Study links increased e-cigarette use to increased smoking quit rates in U.S.

Researchers compared smoking cessation rates of survey respondents who reported smoking cigarettes in the 12 months before the survey. Each survey had between 20,000 and 40,000 respondents who smoked, with declining sample sizes over time, largely due to declining smoking prevalence.

One-minute vs. three-minute assessment of orthostatic hypotension after standing may better predict adverse events, study suggests

Orthostatic hypotension was measured five times at 25-second intervals and was defined as a decrease in systolic blood pressure of at least 20 mm Hg or a decrease in diastolic blood pressure of at least 10 mm Hg from supine to standing position.
