Annals of Internal Medicine marks 90th anniversary

Annals of Internal Medicine celebrates its 90th anniversary starting with a letter to mark the event.

This month, ACP's premier peer-reviewed medical journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, celebrates its 90th anniversary. ACP launched Annals in July of 1927 as a monthly print journal and now publishes online weekly while providing an archived print edition twice monthly. Annals ranks 5th among the 154 general medicine journals and higher than any specialty journal in Clarivate Analytics' General and Internal Medicine category.

Editor-in-Chief Christine Laine, MD, MPH, FACP, invited George D. Lundberg, MD, MedScape Editor-at-Large and former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American Medical Association, to pen a letter to mark the anniversary. Dr. Lundberg notes Annals' staying power, dedication to ethical medical journalology and continued success in his letter, which was published online July 4.

The celebration of this milestone will continue throughout the year at Annals.org.
