Misuse of opioids has reached epidemic proportions in the U.S. To address this crisis, the Office of the Surgeon General has launched a national campaign, Turn the Tide, which aims to educate and mobilize prescribers to take immediate action to stem the epidemic.
The campaign website, TurnTheTideRx.org, features practical tools, information, and in-the-trenches stories from colleagues offering their insights into the epidemic.
ACP encourages its members to join the campaign and take the clinician pledge online.
