High Value Care fellowship winners announced

ACP and ABIM Foundation in collaboration with the New York Academy of Medicine are pleased to announce that Nicole Van Groningen, MD, and Annmarie Vilkins, MD, were selected from a group of 82 high-quality applicants to become the first Choosing Wisely High Value Care in Action fellows for the 2015-2016 academic year.


ACP and ABIM Foundation in collaboration with the New York Academy of Medicine are pleased to announce that Nicole Van Groningen, MD, and Annmarie Vilkins, MD, were selected from a group of 82 high-quality applicants to become the first Choosing Wisely High Value Care in Action fellows for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Dr. Van Groningen is an internal medicine resident at New York University, and her project entails decreasing the rate of unnecessary perioperative cardiac testing in patients undergoing low-risk surgery. Dr. Vilkins is an OB/GYN resident at Boston University Medical Center, and her project focuses on promoting improved medication stewardship for pregnant patients.
