CMS call on open payments

CMS has scheduled a call for physicians and other health care professionals about the National Physician Payment Transparency Program.

This program, originating from the Affordable Care Act, requires pharmaceutical and medical device companies to publicly report payments made to physicians and teaching hospitals. The CMS call will be held Wednesday, May 22, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Eastern Time and will provide an overview of the program and what physicians need to know about it.
