Osler quotes, musculoskeletal exam focus of two new books from College

The College has released two new books, one highlighting the ideas of Sir William Osler and another outlining strategies to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal complaints.

  • "Atlas of the Musculoskeletal Examination" summarizes appropriate tests for musculoskeletal work-ups, explaining what to look for and when to treat. The first volume in the College's new Clinical Skills series, it provides illustrations of tests and conditions and demonstrates range of motion for all joints. The book also covers soft tissue diseases. The 128-page softcover book costs $27 for members.

  • "The Quotable Osler" offers a broad sampling of quotes from Sir William Osler's thought-provoking essays and speeches. The 320-page hardcover book provides a comprehensive overview of Osler's wisdom for a 21st-century audience. It costs $27 for members.

More information and a table of contents for both books are online.

You can order either book from ACP-ASIM Customer Service at 800-523-1546, ext. 2600, or 215-351-2600 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., EST). Members who order online will receive 10% off all ACP-ASIM titles and many other health and science books.
