ACP-ASIM Observer honored for journalistic excellence
ACP-ASIM Observer won five awards this year for its coverage of issues for internists.
The Society of National Association Publications gave ACP-ASIM Observer two awards in the newspapers category: a gold award for newswriting and a silver award for general excellence.
The publication also received the following three awards from the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors:
the silver award for best regular department, "For Residents";
the gold award for best single news article, "Drug shortages raise new fears about patient care," from the December 2001 issue; and
the silver award for best single news article, "Wanted: Doctors willing to take ER call," from the November 2001 issue.
