New College book offers help for office-based preceptors

From the January 2001 ACP-ASIM Observer, copyright 2001 by the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine.

The College has published a new resource to help physicians improve their office-based teaching skills.

"Teaching in Your Office: A Guide to Teaching Medical Students and Residents" is designed to help office-based physicians improve their teaching while maintaining a busy practice.

The book's design allows busy clinicians to identify and read only those chapters that address their specific needs. Topic summaries allow readers to quickly review key areas.

"Teaching in Your Office: A Guide to Teaching Medical Students and Residents" costs $20 for members and is available from ACP-ASIM Customer Service at 800-523-1546, ext. 2600 or 215-351-2600 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., EST).
